 The Lake Mills L-Cats and the Lakeside Warriors squared off against each other on Friday, September 28th. The two teams have long been in a rivalry, so the game was a highly anticipated match. The L-Cats took on the Warriors at their home field, and even with the home field advantage, the L-Cats were unable to beat the Warriors. The night ended with Lakeside scoring 42 points, while Lake Mills was unable to put up a score.
The very first play of the game foreshadowed the rest of the night for the L-Cats, because the next play after the kick-off, resulted in Lakeside running the ball in for a touchdown. This highly discouraged the L-Cats, and they were unable to put together any effective offensive plays. With the Lake Mills' team morale hitting an all time low, the Warriors were relentless. The L-Cats did not give up though, and they did fight their hardest. The L-Cats were able to make many excellent defensive plays, such as causing fumbles, but their valiant efforts proved to be ineffective against the Warriors. The L-Cats were unable to run either an effective running or passing game, which resulted in an overall L-Cat loss for the night.
