 On Thursday, October 11th, the Lake Mills L-Cats battled the Lakeside Warriors on the volleyball courts at Lake Mills. The two teams played four extremely intense games, that resulted in an overall Lake Mills victory. The Lakeside Warriors put up an excellent fight, with all of the games neck and neck. Both teams fought extremely hard, but the L-Cats were able to redeem themselves from their previous loss to Lakeside, and beat their rivalry.
The first game started out favoring the L-Cats, but after Lake Mills suffered missed serves, Lakeside was able to stay in the game. The score continued to go back and forth between the two teams, and remained tied up to the very end of the game. Elli Austin had an excellent game with her hard-hitting spikes. Lake Mills was finally able to pull ahead, and wrap up a win with the score resulting in 25-23, Lake Mills.
The second game did not start as well as the first for the L-Cats. At first, it seemed that Lakeside was going to prevail this game, but Lake Mills was able to fight their way back from a deficit. Towards the end of the game, Lake Mills really turned up the heat on Lakeside, and was able to secure a win, with the final score being 25-17, Lake Mills.
The third game played out the same way as the first two games. Lake Mills and Lakeside were tied throughout the entire game, with the score going back and forth. The third game took an exciting turn towards the end. With the score tied at 23-23, Lake Mills was able to secure a win with their excellent serving. The game resulted in a L-Cat victory of 25-23. The fourth game did not go as well for the L-Cats. Lakeside was able to show that they were still a force to be reckoned with by an ending score of 25-7, Lakeside, but Lake Mills was still able to win the overall match.
