Last Monday the ALCS Challengers took on the Argyle Orioles in a non-conference boys basketball game. Both JV and varsity came out winning their game.
JV took the lead through out the whole game, with the final score of 43-20 Challengers. Tyler Bozaki, a freshman, was the leading scorer on the Challengers JV team, with 16 points followed by Robbie Harrison, a sophomore, with 9 points. That win made the season record 2-2.
Varsity also kept the lead through out the whole game, coming with the win of 54-44. The Challengers point guard Brandon Nelson, a sophomore, was the leading scorer for the Challengers with 13 points, who also had 7 assists. Kyle Busch, a senior who is a point guard, contributed 10 points. Tim Rockwell, a senior center, also had a exciting game with 5 defensive rebounds and 3 steals. The win made the Challengers varsity record 2-2 also. The Challengers return to the Southern Trailways conference action Friday night by hosting the Fall River Pirates as they hope to come out with another win.
