East High girls basketball was "un-expectantly beat" according to Passion Mclain. The final score ended at, East forty-four to Milton sixty-seven. The starters for East were Grace Ramsey, Whitney Warner, Rachael Heidorn, Passion McClain, and Kim Stanford. The game was fast paced and full of fouls. The game ended with twenty-three fouls for East and nineteen for Milton. Kim Stanford was assisted in scoring fifteen points during the game. There were several reports by viewers and participants of poor sportsmanship from the Milton Red Hawk fans throughout the game. The Purgolders were set up with a three-two defense. The Purgolders began their challenging comeback in the fourth quarter. According to Passion, the girls could have "done a lot better by taking more shots during the second quarter". The Purgolders showed their accuracy by only missing nine free-throws compared to the Red Hawks fifteen. McLean from the Red Hawks fouled out of the game. At the end of the night, the East girls were dissatisfied with their outcome, but remained supportive of each other. We will all reamin hopeful for a better outcome next time.
