  ATTIC ANGEL ASSOCIATION ATTIC SALE

Attic Angel Association Attic Sale June 19 and House & Garden Tour in Monona, June 23

The legendary Attic Sale is set for Thursday, June 19, at High Point Church, 7702 Sauk Road, Madison. Treasures include antiques, furniture, artwork, household items, sporting goods, electronics, jewelry and other high quality merchandise the Attic Angel volunteers and colleagues have gathered throughout the year for the fundraiser.

The sale is 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., with price reductions on furniture and electronics beginning at 2:45 p.m.  and treasures and housewares at 3:30 p.m. From 5 to 6 p.m., shoppers take advantage of super savings during the final “Bag Sale.”  Admission to the sale from 8 to 10 a.m. is $16, which includes a ticket to the Attic Angel House and Garden Tour, June 23. After 10 a.m., shoppers are admitted at no cost. MasterCard and Visa will be accepted. Shoppers, who start lining up as early as 4 a.m., can purchase coffee and donuts outside the church, starting at 7 a.m.

On June 23, The Attic Angel House and Garden Tour  highlights Monona Magic- Past and Present featuring six Lake Monona homes along Tonyawatha Trail. Tours are from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tickets are available online at www.atticangel.org or call 608-662-8900 after May 1, and can also be purchased at the Attic Sale on June 19, Attic Angel Place, 8301 Old Sauk Road, and Attic Angel Association, 640 Junction Rd. Tickets are $16 in advance and $18 at the tour.

Cloud 9 Grille, 876 Jupiter Drive, has partnered with Attic Angel Home and Garden Tour to donate 15 per cent of lunch or dinner proceeds to the fundraiser when tour attendees show their tour tickets on June 23 from 11 a.m.-10 p.m.  The restaurant will offer a House and Garden Tour lunch menu with a choice of five salad and sandwich specials ranging form $7 to $9. All tour attendees will receive a $5 gift certificate to return to the restaurant.

A free park and ride at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 5101 Schofield Street, open from 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m. means attendees can ride a bus to the home sites and the Dean House. Buses will also run from the tour site to Cloud 9 Grille between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.  There will be no parking along Tonyawatha Trail or the Dean House.

Proceeds from the Attic Sale and the Attic Angel Association House and Garden Tour Sale will benefit the Respite Rescue program at Independent Living, Inc., and the Attic Angel Resident Aid program.  The Attic Angel Association has pledged $50,000 from the Sale and House and Garden Tour for the Independent Living Respite Rescue project, which provides services to low-income family caregivers so they can enjoy time off from stressful care giving duties. Resident Aid supports Attic Angel residents who have outlived their financial resources.
