  BRIAN RODRIGUEZ

Jacki Witkowski When Brian Rodriguez was a little boy, his parents told him he needs to find a job where people have to listen to him because he asked too many questions. So he listened. Now Brian uses his curious nature to find out the facts about stories you really care about.

Brian comes to Fox 47 from Helena, Montana where he spent the last two and a half years as the weekend anchor and weekday lead reporter for KTVH-TV, also known as Beartooth NBC. He eventually moved up to the lead anchor position for the weekeday shows the last six months of his stay at the station. While with the NBC affliate in Helena, Brian recieved an Associated Press Award for his series "Poverty In Montana," which explored the new face of poverty and how it related to the minimum wage. At the time Montana had one of the lowest minimum wages in the U.S. He was also the only reporter to capture the the former state house majority leader's profanity laced tirade against Governor Brian Schweitzer on tape.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois Brian graduated with honors from Columbia College, where he recieved a BA in Communications. He also interned at Chicago's ABC and CBS affiliates along with Chicago's Tribune station WGN.

In his spare time Brian likes to explore all of what Madison has to offer. When it comes to finding good stories, Brian likes to turn to the most valuable source- the community. If you have story ideas you can email them to brodriguez@fox47.com
