FOX47 NEWS - Locals Mourn Mumbai Terror Attacks
Madisonians who have ties to India are worried the bloodshed that killed more than 100 people may not be over.
Cooking Thanksgiving dinner is a solemn occasion for people at the Taj Indian restaurant on Madison's south side.
It's very sad and also very angry, said Bal Kishan. Sad because what happened -- we are here, we can't do anything. Angry because innocent people are dying over there.
Kishan is doing his best to keep in contact with family and friends thousands of miles away in an city under seige.
They're angry. They're sad, he said. It's just ridiculous.
Kishan says this is not just an attack on India. Mumbai is a big, metropolitain city, where people from all of the world live and work.
Everybody goes over there. It's a fun place, enjoyable, entertainment. It's the economy, business, a business place over there.
He's worried if terrorist attacks can happen in Mumbai, they could happen in any city across India.
He's warned his family to be especially careful on Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
Mumbai is the financial capital of India, home to about 20 million people.
