MADISON (WMSN) -- Just about everyone knows someone who has cancer.
This Sunday, there's an event to bring awareness to one of the deadliest, pancreatic cancer.
A Purplelight Vigil will take place at the capitol at 5 p.m.
Communities across the country will be taking part in this event..
A time to honor survivors and those who lost their life to the disease.
"For Wisconsin it's the number 3 cancer killer in the state.. the survival rate is 6% for 5 years. This is an event where we can all come together," said Korey Kopp, Organizer.
Julia Fello will help emcee the event this Sunday.
