Madison- Badger men's basketball coach Bo Ryan is at the top of the list when it comes to raising money to help fight cancer.  This year, he's doing it in a big way.  After the 2nd annual "Shoot Down Cancer" event, Bo and his wife Kelly personally donated $66,130 to help find a cure for cancer.

All UW students were welcome to shoot free throws and half-court shots to raise money.  Bo would donate $1 for every student that took part, $10 for every free throw made, and $1,000 for every half-court shot made.  At the end of the night, coach Ryan is more than happy to reach for his checkbook.

"We were shocked with last years turn out and they made us pay which was good because this is what it is for we feel so strongly about finding a cure for cancer so we think this is one way to mix the students with our players let them have some fun and donate to a good charity. I'm excited about it."
