MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (AP) —Wanted! America's next top music-star!

"American Idol" auditions are just about to get under way. The FOX singing contest is opening auditions Wednesday in Minneapolis for its 14th season.

Men and women who are 15 to 28 years old as of June 1, 2014, and
eligible to work in the United States, may audition. Wristbands will be
distributed starting at about 7 a.m. on Wednesday at Mariucci Arena at the University of Minnesota.

Host Ryan Seacrest is schedule to attend. Those auditioning
will not be allowed to camp out and may not line up before 6 a.m. People
will be told to enter the arena soon after receiving their wristbands.

The last time “American Idol” held auditions in Minneapolis was in 2006.
