MADISON- The 300 block of West Dayton Street will be closed to through traffic Saturday morning, according to a release.
JH Findorff and other subcontractors will be pouring a large amount of concrete Saturday for the Ovation project adjacent to Madison Fire Station No. 1, officials said. The closure is scheduled from 2 a.m. to noon between North Henry and North Broom streets.
During the closure, traffic on the 300 block of West Johnson will also be down to one lane, but the bike lane will remain open, according to the release. Parking and traffic on the 100 and 200 blocks of North Henry Street will be restricted because contractors will be using it for staging.
Access to residences and the Overture Center Parking Garage on the 300 block of West Dayton Street will be maintained from the west at all times, officials said. Pedestrian traffic will be maintained on the south side of West Dayton Street and to all residences during the closure.
Officials encourage motorists and bicyclists to use alternate routes to avoid delays during the closure.Thursday, February 20 2014, 09:57 PM CST
