MADISON, Wis. - A 28-year-old Madison man was beaten early Sunday morning when a stranger attacked him after the stranger made suggestive remarks toward his wife, police said.

The 28-year-old was walking in a parking lot in the 400 block of West Gilman Street around 3 a.m. with his wife and several other couples, according to a release. A stranger started making suggestive comments toward the man’s wife, which led to an argument and a fight.

The 28-year-old told police he was punched in the face and thrown to the ground. He believes he was also beaten by other people with the primary attacker, police said. He told police the main attacker slashed one of his tires.

The attackers fled in a car that was parked in the same parking lot, according to the release.

Police said the man was transported to a local hospital, and suffered a dislocated shoulder.

The primary attacker is described as a white man in his 20s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with dark hair in a ponytail. He was wearing a black shirt and jeans.
