MADISON- The construction industry is making a dramatic turn-around with many employers say they can't find enough qualified workers to fill jobs.
Madison College capitalized on the situation offering students a one year intensive construction class. Last fall 35 students started to build a house from the ground up.  Tuesday night they celebrated the finished product. Madison instructors said the project takes students from beginners to experts.

"Happy to say that almost all of our graduates who are looking for jobs have a job already.” said John Stephany, Program Director and Instructor, Construction and Remodeling Program. “I would say a third of them were hired even before the project was done."

The fully functioning home will go to the Mosaic Ridge Housing Development for a family.
