MADISON, Wis. - The Republican co-sponsor of a bill designed to make chemotherapy drugs that can be taken at home in pill form more affordable says she supports changes the Assembly made to the proposal.

The Assembly passed the bill early Friday morning after including a $100 copayment cap. That was not a part of the bill when the Senate approved it last week.

A spokeswoman for Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald said Monday that based on the broad bipartisan support the bill received Friday in the Assembly, it will be up for a vote April 1. That is the Senate's last day in session for the year.

Darling calls the changes reasonable and says she expects the bill to get bipartisan support again in the Senate.
