MADISON, Wis. - Severe storms and reported tornadoes caused damage throughout south central Wisconsin Monday night.

The National Weather Service reported a roof was torn off of a house south of Shorewood Hills on Whitney Way in Madison just before 12:30 a.m., and windows blown out of houses near Verona.

A line of strong storms came into the area just before 10 p.m.

Trees and power lines were reported down in the western and central parts of Lafayette County.

Trees were reported down on top of houses in Platteville just before 11 p.m., with one injury reportedly caused by flying glass when windows were blown out.

Street flooding was reported in Lancaster, and trees were reported down in Boscobel.

About 3,400 MG&E customers are without power as of 5am, due to the storms.
