VERONA, Wis. - Verona police are looking for two men who assaulted and attempted to rob a woman whose vehicle was stuck in a snowbank Monday night, according to a release.

Sometime around 11:30 p.m. a 26-year-old woman was assaulted by two men on Northern Lights Road near Epic Lane, Verona police said.

The woman was driving a grey Ford minivan when her vehicle slid off the road and got stuck in a snowbank, according to the release.

Two men approached the woman’s vehicle on foot, police said. The woman initially thought they stopped to help, but they physically grabbed her and attempted to take her vehicle keys.

The woman was able to lock herself in her vehicle and the men fled on foot toward Westridge Park and the 800 block of Edward Street.

The men are described as approximately 20-25 years old. One was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and the other was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt.

Verona police ask anyone with information on the incident to call 608-845-7623.
