However, this wasn’t always the case as lobster did not achieve popularity in North America until the mid-19th century.

Today, lobster reigns as the king of crustaceans and is widely sought-after and celebrated around the world. In fact, 2013 marks the 30th anniversary of Lobsterfest at Red Lobster, the world’s largest casual dining seafood restaurant.
